Kasabian not mind telling us they are not really all that good to begin with. They arrived, shiny and perfectly formed, funded by a multinational to live on a farm for 18 months before being "launched" by a costly guerrilla campaign that has made even the always placid Alex Kapranos are annoyed that he launched his Roche own tirade at the new super-gobs.

By sheer, bloody-minded belief, quality weapons endurance and great, great imagination, Kasabian have wished themselves into brilliance. There will be a hearty scrap between this lot, and the Muse when Monkeys album of the year comes round.
