Its quasi-namesake is revered as one of the most innovative figures in the history of rock, but there is very little original about 21 years, Cornish-singer James Morrison, the last young hopes assigned to the glory of 'recording industry.

The retouched to airbrush Al Green-lite pseudo-soul of the hit single "You Give Me Something" defines the model for a polished, competent set of songs that drift politely by the speakers, with a barking Morrison decent Rod Stewart impression to the syrupy above a runway of piano, strings and brass.

"Call the police" ups the tempo briefly shamelessly with some shreds Radiohead-influenced guitar riffing, but in general it is bland, faceless music that does nothing new but will inevitably sell by the shed load.
